Williamsville, New York is a village found in Erie County. As of 2017, about 5,300 people called the community home. Williamsville is part of the Buffalo-Niagara Falls Metro Statistical Area, and much of the village is located within the Town of Amherst. School-aged children attend classes with the Williamsville Central School District, and it includes six elementary schools, four middle schools, and three high schools: Williamsville East, South, and North.

The Williamsville community works hard to make residents and visitors alike feel at home here, and they offer several special events throughout the year. Each summer the village hosts Old Home Days in Island Park, and it includes a carnival, food, parade, and musical entertainment. Other recreational opportunities include the Taste of Williamsville and a summertime music festival where local bands play on Main Street.

There are many places to visit when traversing through Williamsville. Despite only consisting of one square mile of total area, Williamsville is home to six parks. Garrison Park offers a wading pool with lifeguards on duty, which is perfect for family fun in the summer. Glen Falls offers picturesque views and outdoor recreation space, while military enthusiasts might prefer a trip to Patriots and Heroes Park. Other popular destinations here include 12 Gates Brewing Company and historic Saints Peter & Paul Church.

Varied weather conditions in Williamsville require that residents prepare for anything when it comes to the weather. Gas or electric furnace systems will get a lot of use during the winter months, as the season is cold and snowy. In fact, the area receives about 94 inches of snow per year, although you wouldn’t know it in the summer. July is the hottest month of the year, and with high humidity levels, most residents are most comfortable at home with a central air conditioning system.
